A tribute to the Fallen. The flyover included one pulling out, to form the missing man formation.
The wise words of the Old Vets and Heroes
The unwavering respect of our Current Heroes.
With all walks of Life paying Tribute, at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (WWI).

That first picture is so beautiful. Great shot of the drums too, by the way. Also, what are those red things on the men's jackets that I assume are also covering the tomb of the unknown soldier?

ReplyDeleteThose are Poppies we wear (as do most people from the British commonwealth nations). They Represent the soldiers lost.
Its tradition that dates back to WWI, specifically Flander's Fields (And most likely due to the poem by the same name, that starts, "In Flander's Fields where Poppies grow..." )
Also tradition is to Observe 2 minutes of Silence at 11:00(am) on November 11th. (The Moment at which the Armistice was signed in 1918, ending WWI).
